With a very complex emotion, I started my journey to becoming a teacher. I had never thought that learning to teach can be such an emotional journey. I started this journey feeling annoyed because after a successful career in Information Technology and Digital Business, with years of leadership experience and after bringing up two marvelous children and coached countless number of employees, I could not believe that I cannot teach K-12 children without additional qualification. I am qualified, I thought. But, as I found out, after studying some online teaching courses, there is so much to learn about teaching. Thus, I applied for formal education to become a teacher. Just a couple of weeks into the program, I was exposed to so much information that made me wonder where have I been all these years. There is so much about the society around me that I do not know. I was enthralled. I do not want to forget this journey. Thus, the beginning of this journal – the becoming of a teacher.
